Preview before and after in LR with the Back slash key
Lightroom has a before and after view of your images which most people know about. However, if you press the backslash key ( \ ) that toggles between your current view and the before view. So if you’re ever unsure about the effect of something you’re doing in Lightroom, just hit the backslash key to see a before view. Hit it again to see the after.

Probably should make a list of helpful keyboard shortcuts. There are many of them:).
I think some bright young blond gave me a whole list, now I just need to find it !
